MKTG 1030 Marketing Management Dr. Nicole Mead Peer Evaluation Form for Group Work INSTRUCTIONS: READ BEFORE COMPLETING This approach to peer evaluation in group assignments works on the premise that, by and large, groups are responsible for the outcome they have. The objective is not to ‘grade’ small variations in group performance, but to avoid people free riding on others’ efforts. Each group member submits an evaluation of each other member’s contribution, with 100% implying that a group member did a fair share of the work. 50%, for example, would indicate that a group member did only 50% of what a fair share of the work would have been. The average rating across all members will be taken as the final peer evaluation rating for a group member. A 50% rating implies that the group member will get 50% of the group grade. If no rating is turned in, a default rating of 100% will be used. The most common outcome is all group members score each other the same (100%). However, when a group member makes no contribution (e.g., does not return emails, attend meetings, or contribute her/his assigned portion of the write-up), this person is assigned 0%. If you think there are freeriding issues in your group, complete this individually and submit it via Canvas by December 8th at 11:59pm.
