Description

Erin Stoops, Korinne Rhoads, Christi Evans, Heather Umbel Prior to our meeting, we would contact Terry Hammer and make sure he was still able to attend the meeting. We would leave a clear and concise message on his answering machine stating our name, and confirming the appointment with a clear description of the date, time, and place. We would also state the time frame of this meeting, such as, “Will you still have fifteen minutes of your day tomorrow to meet with us at your office?” We would also complete a practice presentation to formulate a presentation that would best present our company while remaining in the 15 minute time frame. We would be sure to prepare to present enough information for a longer meeting, in the event we are allotted additional meeting time. We would want to fully utilize that time. Additionally, we would prepare to present a shorter presentation if for some reason our meeting time got cut short, to ensure we still fully delivered our message. When we approach the presentation that day, we would be sure to dress professionally and be on-time, ideally arriving a few minutes early. Smiling when first meeting him and shaking his hand, while maintaining eye contact and good posture, etcetera. In order to build rapport we would give him genuine compliments, such as complimenting his tie or his shoes. Whichever we felt more knowledgeable about or more personally interested in. We would also search for mutual interests. We could point on his Duquesne class ring and mention that we are also a graduate of Duquesne. Hopefully this would lead into some light conversation about our experiences as a Duquesne student. We could also relate that we have a daughter involved in ballet as well. That would be another area where we could connect personally. We would hope that these small topics would leave lasting impacts on Terry so that he would be more likely to stay with T-Mobile and choose us over competitors. Once the meeting is done, we would be sure to send him a timely follow up email to thank him. We would say something along the lines of the following: Mr. Hammer, on behalf of T-Mobile, we would like to thank you for meeting with us and learning about our company. If you would like to meet again, we would be happy to do so. Please feel welcome to reach out to us if you have any questions. We would then add our signatures to make it seem authentic and personable....
