I have vaguely heard of this organisation before, through Montana State University at freshman introductory events such as Catapalooza etc. I think that this is a great way for the organisation to get their name out and make themselves known to students by having a stall, giving out stickers and other promotional items We had similar organisations come into our school and talk about the importance of farming, growing our own food. We never really touched on the cooking aspect of things but it was always fun to go out into the school garden and plant some new plants, eat a few fresh leaves and produce from what we planted (it always tasted better). Overall, I think that it is a really good introductory and educational program and that more schools should try to incorporate it into their curriculum. These programs educate young children on the importance of farming, educating them on where their food comes from, the hardworking farmers behind their food and how important it is to grow your own food and eat healthy and fresh produce. It is a great hands on experience for young children to meet animals and have a fun day!...
