1 The whole Harry Potter saga has been very famous all over the world, especially for the production of the films, although everyone knows the origin of these fantastic stories. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was the first book by JK Rowling and also the one that made her jump to fame. I have to say that I am a big fan of adventure and fantasy stories, especially those of Harry Potter, that’s why I have really enjoyed reading it. It excited me because the book introduces us to this magical world. ● First of all, it's a book with a great variety of characters, I really like the Harry, Ron and Hermione relationship. One of the aspects that I liked the most is how the author describes in detail each place, smell or situation; for example, it allows you to enter to Hogwarts and knowing everything about its nooks and secret passages, indeed. The two quotes I’ve chosen are: “To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure” “Call him Voldemort, Harry. Always use the proper name for things. Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself.” I really like these quotes which are said by Albus Dumbledore, the director of the school. In my opinion, the wisdom of Dumbledore is reflected throughout the book, these quotes are a lesson and a great wise advice for remembering all of us. 2 The film is pretty accurate to the book. Firstly, I saw the film and then I read the book. So, I’ve detected some details said in the book what are omitted either changed in the film like some characters, they are irrelevant things though. For example, the character of Hermione changes a bit; in the book his repellent personality is more exaggerated and the friendship between she, Harry and Ron takes more difficulties. There are more little differences but they aren’t important. The film respects the original plot quite enough.

3 In the film the special effects are incredible and that’s why I love it a lot. It makes you feel that Hogwarts is a real place. Apart from that, I really like reading these kind of books, so I can’t choose between film or book. As I said previously, before reading the book I had already watched all Harry Potter´s films and I

adore them and their characters. Since I’m a fan, I’ve wanted to read the books, so that’s why I’ve chosen it for this presentation. Furthermore, I’m looking forward to reading the all the seven books of the saga. In conclusion, I think JK Rowling has created an amazing world. I would totally recommend it to young people, specially the ones who enjoy science fiction and fantasy stories. Harry Potter´s saga transmits very appreciate values, being plenty of great principles, showing how the important is the friendship, tolerance, discipline, and the diversity among people from many different places, status and families....
