Sonny Sandhu Coach Crespo, Kin14C 23 April 2018 Health Benefits of Physical Activity & Volleyball There are many benefits of physical activity, it allows you to be healthy and when combined with a healthy diet, the benefits are outstanding. A benefit of physical activity is to control your weight, when combining exercise with a balanced diet, one can lose weight very fast and put less stress on their organs. Another benefit is that is reduces your risk of cardiovascular disease which is a major problem in America. The government has set numbers of servings of each food group that we as humans should consume to live a happy and healthy life. The servings for vegetables are 5 servings a day, whether it be fresh, frozen, canned or dried. For fruit, we must eat 4 servings a day, which is equivalent to 4 fruits a day, such as 4 apples or 4 bananas. For grains, it is recommended to eat 6 servings a day and at least half of those servings should be high in fiber to aid in digestion, making you feel less discomfort. Now for the last which is poultry, meats, and eggs, it is recommended to eat 8 to 9 servings a week. When a diet similar to the one I just outlined is introduced to your lifestyle with exercise, you can achieve great health. Another benefit is that physical activity will strengthen your bones and muscles, allowing you to walk and stay active longer, the older you get. Regularly implementing physical activity in your life which reduce your risk of hip fracture, arthritis, and other bone related illnesses. In order to achieve the best results you must exercise 3 to 4 times a week and each session should be an hour or longer, it is recommended to start off slowly. In order to figure out the heart rate you must hit to burn fat, take 220 minus your age. Volleyball offers a lot of different health advantages, alongside a balanced diet, playing

volleyball regularly for about 45 minutes a day, very moderately is a great way to improve physical strength and health. 45 minutes of volleyball can burn up to 585 calories, so if you do this regularly, with a balanced diet, for a long period of time you can in turn see significant weight loss. This in turn will reduce your risk of hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes. Furthermore, playing volleyball is a great way to improve your muscular system as physical activity will strengthen your upper body, your arms, legs, shoulders, etc., as well as your thighs and lower legs, as you are using all of these body part while playing. Additionally, playing volleyball strengthens your cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Furthermore, due to the fact that you are moving for the whole time, using different part of your body, this improves circulation in your body and spreads oxygen and nutrients throughout your body, improving bodily functions and overall health....
