For immediate release Contact: Laura Horton [email protected] 919-208-6991 JBCC Named One of the Best Looks for Fall 2019 North Carolina Fashion Week to jumpstart JBCC’s break onto the national level Raleigh, NC (October 15, 2019) – Jarrett Bay Clothing Co. (JBCC), a company stemmed from Jarrett Bay Boatworks based in Beaufort, NC, and one of the most inspirational and respected clothing brands on the Atlantic Coast, has been named One of the Best Looks for Fall 2019 at North Carolina Fashion Week. Since 2001, North Carolina Fashion Week has kickstarted the national success of clothing brands such as Southern Tide, Southern Fried Co., and Over Under Clothing. “JBCC is a great brand with a long and distinguished heritage. They have essentially been in the clothing business since they built their first boat in 1986,” said Judge Lilly Pulitzer. “JBCC designs clothes that you can get work done in and look good while doing it. The clothing is American made, super soft, and durable, and the fall collection features attractive colors inspired from the ocean hues and coastal pigments.” JBCC started selling into retailers in 2014, starting with their valued neighbors at the coast, including AB Surf Shop, EJW Outdoors and Kitty Hawk Kites. In 2015 they launched their e-commerce website jarrettbayclothingco.com. JBCC plans to focus on getting the product into more boutique shops in North Carolina and along the Atlantic coastal region. The goal for 2020 and beyond is to take the brand to a national level, under the leadership of Randy Ramsey, the founder and president. “Currently, we’re a regional name, but I see unlimited opportunity,” Ramsey said. “We have the potential to compete with nationally recognized apparel brands. We take pride in everything we do; in the products we make and the relationships we build. We don’t cut corners, or compromise on our principles. We do the right things, and we do things right.” The integrated campaign behind JBCC kicks off during the spring 2020. About Jarrett Bay Boatworks Jarrett Bay Boatworks, founded in 1986, is a privately-owned company headquartered in Beaufort, North Carolina. Founded as a boating business, the company heritage includes building and delivering more than 85 custom sport fishing boats and servicing thousands of vessels. Internationally known in the boating industry for the one-of-a-kind construction, publications far and wide have featured the story of Jarrett Bay Boatworks. Initially, shirts were printed with the type of boat that was being built for the owners and crews of the boats. Over time, more people started wanting the shirts, whether they owned a boat or not. This led Jarrett Bay to open a retail store in Beaufort, NC around 1996 as a means for selling the clothing to the general public. Products are named after locations that inspire those who enjoy sport fishing and the yachting lifestyle. The line’s tagline “Make Waves'' embodies Jarrett Bay’s philosophy of craftsmanship, the pursuit of excellent and passion for boating. For more information, visit jarrettbay.com.

For immediate release Contact: Laura Horton [email protected] 919-208-6991 Mr. Jack Smith Editor Our State Magazine Greensboro, NC 27408 [email protected] Dear Jack, It was good speaking with you on Monday on Twitter. As we briefly discussed, I really like your piece on Yvon Chouinard of Patagonia for Our State Magazine and his passion for making surfboards. The photo shoot by Peggy White and the behind-the-scenes video were also high profile. As I told you, I am representing Jarrett Bay Clothing Co.’s Randy Ramsey. Ramsey is not only a tremendous clothing designer, but also a boat builder. Indeed, Ramsey has this particularity: he built his own charter boats from scratch in an old tin shed. The Beaufort native rarely left the water after receiving his boating license at the age of 18. On this day of September 1986 his friend was with him when he worked in a leaky tin shed in Williston, North Carolina, on Jarrett Bay. Ramsey called to order a drum of West System epoxy resin and the operator asked him the name of the company. He looked out the window and said, “I’m Jarrett Bay Boatworks,” and the order was on its way. Since Ramsey built his first custom vessel, the 52-foot Sensation of his own design, Jarrett Bay has built and delivered more than 85 custom sport fishing boats and serviced thousands of vessels. The one-of-a-kind construction is just one strength Ramsey is known for today — building boats is his passion. Randy Ramsey’s love for boats doesn’t seem to stop. He is the founder and president of Jarrett Bay Boatworks and principle at Bluewater Yacht Sales. He has been involved in almost every aspect of the boating and fishing industries from running a successful charter fishing operation to co-founding the Harker's Island Sportfishing School. Since the first boat was built in 1986, Ramsey has essentially been in the clothing business. Initially, shirts were printed with the type of boat that was being built for the owners and crews of the boats. Over time, more people started wanting the shirts, whether they owned a boat or not. Ramsey saw the potential to launch a Jarrett Bay clothing line able to compete with nationally recognized apparel brands and plans for Jarrett Bay Clothing Co. began. Ramsey hopes to make waves across the country and take the brand to a national level. Jarrett Bay Clothing Co. is in the middle of a tremendous rise in popularity — increasing in sales by 14% across the Atlantic Coast— as well as being named One of the Best Looks for Fall 2019 by North Carolina Fashion Week. You can check out the collection on their official Instagram account (instagram.com/jarrettbaycc). I will be in touch to discuss a possible interview and photo shoot. Look forward to speaking with you. Ramsey will be available to discuss during the South Carolina Fashion Week in Greenville, SC (Nov 11-15) if it is convenient for you.
