TELL US WHAT A JOB ANALYSIS IS AND WHAT IS CAN BE USED FOR In order to compile this job analysis, which is a breakdown of the components of a particular job, we used a functional job analysis, worker-oriented analysis, and a systems analysis. The use of a functional job analysis allowed us to delve deeper into the daily tasks associated with the responsibilities of being a groomer at Groomindale’s. The worker-oriented analysis determines which traits are needed to perform the job. The systems analysis identifies who is served by this job, the outputs of the job, the necessary tasks and materials for the job, and who supplies these materials. By using these analyses, we are able to better assess who would be an adequate candidate for a groomer position at Groomindale’s.

NICE JOB DESCRIBING THE ALGORITHMIC JOB. ARE THEIR OTHER ACTIVITIES SUCH AS PAPERWORK OR CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION TO ADD? YOU SAID THIS IN THE WORKER ANALYSIS: Keep up-to-date files on each dog to be prepared for future visits. THERE IS NO MENTION OF THIS. HOW DO THEY KNOW WHAT DOGS TO GROOM, IN WHAT ORDER, AND CUSTOMER REQUESTS? DO THEY DO ANYTHING WITH THE DOG HAIR AT END OF DAY?

VII. Other methodology Our additional methodology to gaining information was taking videos of our experience at Groomindale’s. We recorded the bathing and cutting process of one of the dogs. This was helpful to our research because it allowed us to look back and analyze the grooming process in closer detail. Grooming is a very hands-on professional, and it would be difficult to capture the intricacy of the tasks in just words. While working on the Functional Job section of the Job Analysis, it was very helpful to return to the video to find specific details that we may have missed. Videos 1: Bathing and drying process Video 2 & 3: Standard grooming process WHAT ABOUT THINGS THEY DO TO LEARN ABOUT NEW STYLES AND METHODS?

VIII. Summary of Dog Groomer Analysis A groomer must be prepared for the repetition involved in this position, as well as the limited opportunities for upward growth within the company. The grooming process is a combination of two different elements consisting of washing and cutting. Even though each dog

DOG GROOMER JOB ANALYSIS

involves a different approach, their task tends to remain relatively constant. They begin the process by washing the dog. This involves such tasks as checking their ears for infection and if needed, administering ear drops, which is applying specialized information they must learn in order to care for the dogs. After shampooing, lathering, and rinsing the dog, they dry them with the dual speed blow dryer. They then take them to the groomer station where they can begin the cutting process. This task exemplifies the importance of high mental topics needed for this position such as memory and concentration BAD SENTENCE AND I DOUBT THAT THE MENTAL ASPECT OF THE JOB IS THIS IMPORTANT. The groomer must recall the different breed and coat types to precisely groom the dog. Another important aspect of a proficient groomer is keeping a clean work station by vacuuming and sanitizing after each dog. By the end of the process, the customer is provided with a properly bathed and groomed dog.
