MBA403 Financial and Economic Interpretation and Communication This subject teaches students to interpret and draw conclusions using the financial and economic information integral to business operations. Students are introduced to the financial statements of a diverse set of companies and are required to assess the liquidity, performance and financial positions of these companies. Microeconomic principles relevant to business decision making are introduced using case studies on individual markets, consumers and firms. Macroeconomic principles used to assess the performance of global economies are also introduced using current economic news stories. Lastly, and most importantly, students are taught how to communicate this information to a diverse range of stakeholders. MBA404 Consumer Behaviour and Nil Marketing Psychology

MBA404 Consumer Behaviour and Marketing Psychology This subject aims to develop a student’s understanding of how consumer behaviour is linked to business strategy. Students will be shown how demographics, household structure and social status impacts on consumer behaviour and decision-making and they will then examine how these behaviours can be influenced by marketing strategies. In addition, students will analyse rational and emotional consumer behaviours and the effects of social and cultural differences. Students will also assess the impact of external influences, internal influences and situational influences on consumer behaviour and purchasing habits, with motivation theory utilised in the application of an advertising campaign.

MBA642 Project Initiation, Planning and Execution This subject explores the key skills and knowledge required to manage organisational projects on an ongoing basis. This means students will learn the critical steps that are set in motion once approval is given for a project to commence as well as the subsequent actions that ensure the project is a success. This comprises an understanding of all of the major factors that could positively or negatively influence the management project, right up to its completion or termination.

MBA643 Project Risk, Finance and Monitoring This subject requires students to complete a real-world project case study to take them through the different phases of project planning, elaboration and execution. Students are required to advise on how to assess project viability, how to source and coordinate resources for the project, how to identify and plan for project risks and how to organise adequate financing for the project. Management, accounting and finance theories are all relevant for completing the case study, which includes addressing problems related to task allocations, feasibility, financial Net Present Value sensitivity and scenario analysis, modelling and project budgets....
