It all started with one cook who created a soon to be world famous recipe more than 70 years ago, a list of secret herbs and spices scratched out on the back of the door to his kitchen. KFC (formerly Kentucky Fried Chicken) is the world’s second largest restaurant chain after McDonald’s measured by sales and the world’s most popular chicken brand. KFC is the world's most popular chicken restaurant chain specializing in that same Original Recipe along with Extra Crispy chicken, home-style sides and buttermilk biscuits. KFC is a fast food brand also called a QSR, or quick serve restaurant specializing in chicken. With more than 24,000 units in more than 145 countries and territories. People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)- accused Kentucky Fried Chicken of cruelty toward chicken. We as a researchers focuses on the problem of Kentucky Fried Chicken regarding to the problem of cruelty toward chickens. Area of consideration : STRENGTH • Fast Growth - they have a tremendous growth that the franchised goes up from 200 to 600 that making them the largest fast food operation in United State. • Original 11 herbs and spices recipe - they have a secret recipe for their chicken to stand up among other restaurant that serving chicken. WEAKNESSES • Negative Publicity - Because of the issue on PETA, they receive many criticism in their behavior towards chicken. • Unhealthy food menu - Their menu is largely formed of high calorie, salt and fat meals and drinks, that result of high obesity rate.
