Description

DSP Interview Example Questions It is best to use at least one question from each of the following. General Criteria: Are answers given genuine? Is the rushee’s DSP interest merely professional or selfish? Will this member contribute to and grow due to DSP? Do they understand their field of interest well and have they demonstrated this interest? sDSP Questions: Score: ___/3 points ● What are the pillars of DSP? ● Who is your favorite brother and why? ● What are you looking to get out of DSP? ● Why are you a good fit for DSP? ● Why is DSP a good fit for you? Professional Questions: Score: ___/5 points ● Ask about some of the specific experiences on the person's resume ● What are your professional goals and ambitions, and what role will DSP play in reaching these goals? ● List and describe your 3 biggest strengths? ● List and describe your 3 biggest weaknesses? ● What is the accomplishment you are most proud of? Teamwork/Leadership: Score: ___/4 points ● Describe a time in which you were put in a situation in which you were expected to have all the answers, what did you do? ● How would you describe the dynamic you usually have in a team setting? o Describe the next DSP marketing campaign. Finance: o If you could only pick one, what stock would you pick and why? Tech/Entrepreneurship: o Describe your biggest startup failure. Why do you think it failed, what knowledge did you gain, and how have you used it? o What, to you, is the most important element in a successful venture? Consulting: o See strengths and weaknesses questions. If none of the above are relevant, use brainteasers: o A car travels a distance of 60 miles at an average speed of 30 mph. How fast would the car have to travel the same 60 mile distance home to average 60 mph over the entire trip?  Trick question: it is impossible.  To average 60 mph for 120 miles of travel, the trip would be 2 hours long. You already took 2 hours for the first 60 miles. It is impossible. o Three envelopes are presented in front of you by an interviewer. One contains a job offer, the other two contain rejection letters. You pick one of the envelopes. The interviewer then shows you the contents of one of the other envelopes, which is a rejection letter. The interviewer now gives you the opportunity to switch envelope choices. Should you switch?  Yes. You originally had 1/3 chance of getting the job. Knowing the interviewer picked a certain envelope has no impact on your original envelope’s probability. Know, however, the third envelope has a 2/3 chance of being a job offer. You always switch.

What is the sum of numbers from 1 to 100?  5050. 1+2+3+…+98+99+10 is just 50 pairs that sum to 101. So, the sum is 50(101)=5050. What is the angle between the hour-hand and minute-hand of a clock at 3:15?  At quarter past the hour, the minute-hand is exactly at 3:00 but the hour-hand has moved 1/4 of the way between 3:00 and 4:00. Therefore 1/4 times 1/12 = 1/48 of the clock. With the clock having 360 degrees, 360/48 = 7.5 degrees. You are given a 3-gallon jug and a 5-gallon jug. How do you use them to get 4 gallons of liquid?  Fill the 5 gallon jug. Pour the contents into the 3 gallon jug. 2 gallons will remain in the 5 gallon jug. Pour these 2 gallons into the 3 gallon jug. Then, fill the 5 gallon jug and fill the 3 gallon jug. Only 1 gallon will go into the 3 gallon jug, so the 5 gallon jug will have 4 gallons of water.

Overall Conduct and Demeanor During Interview: ● Was the rushee on time? ● Did the rushee bring 4 copies of the resume? ● Did the rushee ask thoughtful questions about DSP?
