1. The French calendar is similar to the U.S. one in how it separates the months and weeks into individual sections. 2. The calendar is different than the ones in the U.S. as it has highlighted, color coded holidays – whereas in the U.S. we do not do that. 3. The holidays highlighted in green are jour de l’an on January 1st, fete du travail on May 1st, victoire 1945 on May 8th, fete de nationale on July 14th, and armistice 1918 on November 11th. The holidays highlighted in yellow are paques and lundi de paques on april 12th and 13th, ascension on May 21st, Pentecote on May 31st, L. de Pentecote on June 1st, Assomption on August 15th, Toussaint in November 1st, and Noel on December 25th. 4. I am inferring that the holidays in yellow seem to be Catholic holidays, whereas the ones in green appear to be French celebrations, national holidays, or historical days of remembrance....
