Coby Schmutter MFP Exercise 1
2/15/21
1. We need to multiply the impressions for each program by 1000 Good Morning America= 1,520,000 Regis & Kelly = 4,090,000 HBO Movie= 351,000 2. To solve you have to multiple the number of spots by the impressions for each program and then add them Good Morning America = 4 X 1,520,000 =6,080,000 The Mentalist = 3 X 11,683,000= 35,049,000 HBO Movie = 12 X 351,000= 4,212,000 Total Impressions for this TV Schedule would be 45,341,000 3. You would have to use the formula rating= impressions Universe
X100
4. Good Morning America: 4 X 1.3 =5.2 GRP The Mentalist: 3 X 10.0=30.0GRP HBO Movie: 12 X 0.3=3.6GRP Total =38.8GRP 5. A: Gross rating is the sum of all ratings for a media schedule. It is solved by dividing the gross number of impressions over the number within the universe and multiplied by 100. Gross impressions is discussing the potential duplication for within that universe, which occurs when one is exposed to the media/advertisement more than once within the same program. B: Instead of her seeing impressions as the number of people who see the ad, she should see it as a measurement of the media vehicle itself which stands alone from the advertisement. The impressions/ratings are basically numerical forms describing the opportunities one had to see the advertisement. 6. Regis & Kelly: 6 X 3.5=21.0 GRP 60 Mins: 2 X 10.8 =21.6 GRP The 60 Minutes would be slightly more effective by 1.6
7. Impressions (000)= 12.8/100 X 116,820 (000)=14,952.96 14,953,000...
