After completing a purchase in a Kohl’s store or online, for every $50 spent the customer receives $10 in Kohl's Cash. Kohl’s Cash can only be used during frequent promotional periods which lasts for a week, on average, and then expires afterward. Not being able to redeem the coupon all the time creates incentives for customers to try to buy within the timeframe. Kohl’s is trying to get customers to feel rewarded for frequently spending large amounts of money at their stores. Some customers will rush back to the store to use the coupon within the time period. However, after I have spent that much money on clothes, I don’t have the need to go back so soon and the coupon expires. The way I approach the sales promotion is an advantage for Kohl’s because I am paying full price but also a disadvantage because I don’t visit frequently....
