Description

Master of Management Managing Employees Assignment#2

Due: Oct 11th

What is your Type? Based on the lecture on Type Theory of Personality and characteristics mentioned for each type, determine what your personality Type is. Explain how you determined which pole of each dimension you have a preference for (provide at least one example for each of the four dimensions).

Select two people with whom you work regularly (or in your social life, if you prefer): One whom you find very easy to work and interact with, and one whom you find particularly challenging as things often don’t go well. You do not need to provide names of these people, but a description of your relationship to them is essential (i.e., co-worker, employee, boss, spouse, sibling, parent, etc.). Based on your understanding of Type theory determine their Types.

Explain through the lens of Type theory, how differences/similarities between your personality types could be contributing to the challenges/positive experiences you have in relation to these people.

Craft an Interaction Plan for your relationship with the challenging person. You can begin by identifying the most salient points of potential conflict, stress, or miscommunication between yourself and this person. On the basis of this analysis, stipulate what you’ll do to ensure you meet their Type-based needs, and in turn, what you could ask of them in order to meet your Type-based needs.
