It offers high quality venues for international gatherings wherein Manila, Cebu and Davao are the key MICE destinations. Under the country's national tourism development plan, MICE is one of the top ten tourism products. As a result, the MICE industry contributes significantly to the Philippine economy.

As MICE Tourism has established the Philippines as a viable destination, it helps the countrys’ economy in increasing the number of tourist arrivals. Resulting in a multiplier effect in which the “new” money brought by visitors or foreigners is re-circulated through spending in the local economy. Furthermore, the MICE industry can contribute to the Philippines economy through visitor expenditure and its contribution to employment. The proper integration and employment such as tourism, hotel, transportation, catering, real estate, and the retail markets have a positive impact on the Philippines economy as it increases the national income and provides more jobs to the country.

The International Monetary Fund-World Bank Joint Conference is one of the certain events in the Philippines that produced a significant effect in the country’s economy. The Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) highlights the event wherein Manila has established itself as one of the region’s finest convention cities. Since then, the Philippines has served as a hub for the MICE industry. In addition, the 30th Southeast Asia Games or also known as SEA Games helps the Philippines improve its status as a destination in the MICE sector. This aids the country to attract more foreign visitors. Lastly, is the 2021 Adventure Travel Conference and Mart (ATCM) of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Hybrid Summit which was held recently this May 26 to 28 2021.
