The social efforts of these companies are beneficial in many ways. Benefits include sharing the wealth. Giving people in other countries the opportunity to be a part of world trade. This gives otherwise small, poor countries the chance to develop an economy. Many of these countries have been either forgotten or exploited by other developed countries. Ethically this offers competition within the world market. It can also push out sweat-shops and exploitation of underpaid, overworked, and underage workers. Also, this can drive down corporate greed and level the playing field some as well as drive down prices in many ways. Environmentally speaking the Fair Trade model is especially attractive because the responsibility trickles down to practically everyone that is involved in the process. Demanding that products are as natural as possible works for everyone in the earth as well as the earth. A way that SNHU Pet Company can be more socially responsible is by offering an organic brands of dog food. This can cater to customers who go the extra mile for their pets. This also can cater to an audience who wants healthier pets. Another way to be ethically and environmentally conscious and responsible is to practice fair trade. The pet store can be a responsible retailer by demanding certain standards to be held by their suppliers. Limiting fillers and by products can be a part of the demands. Sourcing local products to limit food miles can also help. These are just a few improvements that can be made to make the SNHU Pet Store a responsible partner....
