Dear Sir/Madam, I am Ezam Atashov - young, highly motivated senior year student from Azerbaijan State University of Economics. I would like to hereby express my deep interest in the “Economics” master’s program at the University of Roma Tor Vergata. Currently, I am working towards completion of my bachelor studies at the “Finance and Accounting” with specialization in Statistics. The reason that I am specialized in statistics and it opens the doors in order to be “distinguishing economist”. Moreover, I believe that these skills required for the program I am applying and will enable me to perform well throughout the program. Additionally, I would like to further study and gain more of knowledge in this particular field. My current grades and results are strong evidence of my academic capabilities, as well as the program I am studying is for the top performing and most capable students. Starting from my childhood, I have always had an interest and passion for numbers and my favorite subject at school was mathematics and after years later, it creates great atmosphere so as to get easily economical subject during bachelor degree. This interest grew parallel to myself and at present time I see my future career only in the economical field. I understand that I need to work hard and put utmost effort to achieve my career goals, but in fact I have got used to intense and hard work and will continue to do so. In my junior year, I decided to boost my accounting and finance skills and went to attend a course called “ACCA” (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) which was very crucial for me so as to promote my economical skills. Moreover, I have never limited myself to studies, but also have had active social life that I had worked several international events. I was working as “Transport Team Leader” for a fascinating worldwide project called “2017 Formula 1 Grand Prix of Europe” and I had got outstanding experiences and new friends from this project. I also have volunteer activity that I had worked “42nd Baku World Chess Olympiad” at the operation team. Consequently, I consider myself very active individual, but more importantly I am enthusiastic one and it might be considered that I am highly motivated and communicative person. All of my accomplishments are the result of my hard work and persistence. Thus, I am confident that I will easily adapt to the new environment in the University of Roma Tor Vergata and become a strong addition to the program. Currently, I am doing my internship Department of Quality Management and Metadata in the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan. My daily responsibilities include analysis of statistical reports which relate to economic trends, communication with other departments for collection of data, and formulation of statistical documents using big amounts of numerical data. During my internship, I was able to improve my existing skills that are required for working in the

economical field in the future such as analytical and critical thinking, working with big amount of data and problem-solving skills. Nevertheless, I am not fully satisfied with my achievements and I believe I need much more knowledge and expertise, before I will be able to call myself as a young professional, thus I am looking for further self-improvement. My career aspirations are different depending of the term. For the short term, I am planning to work for private international companies where I can get a deep dive into the industry and reshape myself from young graduate into a young professional. Ideally, I would like to work for Big4 companies as I know how much work is demanded in there and it is my desire to work hard in the beginning to make things easier for the future. In the long perspective though, I would like to contribute to the economy of Azerbaijan directly and would like to be involved in the economic development of the government. Ideally, I would be working in the Ministry of Economy in a senior position. I do understand the scale of my goals, and I realize that I have to put much effort to achieve them. Nevertheless, I believe that only hard work is not sufficient, on top of that I need a high-quality education from a reputable educational institution. I am a person who have always been fascinated by studying about economics and from this reason I am strongly wont to study master in one the best university so as to be qualified person. University of Roma Tor Vergata undoubtedly is one of such. At the end, I would like to note that, I will do my best and perform at a level that will enable me to contribute to the faculty and benefit.
