Music is art....

Description

Songs: Afourteen - :) - This song talks about how people care too much about other people, their validation, their opinion, and how stupid that is. This is the exact thing that has kept me from achieving various goals in the past and this song really just gave me the clear mindset I needed to keep going. Lil Darkie - Genocide - This song addresses the hypersensitivity of the modern world and how people, especially the younger generation, refuse to help themselves. I can relate to this because I have been at that point in my life before, but I grew out of it and so should the rest of Gen Z. Quadeca - Sisyphus - This song portrays that we all have a mountain to get over and a burden to carry. I chose this song because I still have not gotten over my mountain let alone the many more to come, it serves as a reminder to my ultimate purpose. Unknown P - Fire In The Booth - I like this song because it puts a heavy emphasis on the fact that no matter your background you come from you can always move forward in life and achieve your goals no matter what if it is your true passion. CXRPSE - POLICE - After the killing of George Floyd and various other african-americans by the systematic racism present within the American police system, CXRPSE released this song in response directly criticizing the issue at hand. As a side topic, the song also talks about the absurdity of racist attitudes especially systematically. I chose this song because it sums up all of my feelings about the police and systematic racism in general.

Quadeca - Sisyphus

Walked up the hill Don't look down, you’ll be there soon And I love you still Everything feels better when surrounded by the space I need to fill And I know Everything feels better when I go

I been so melodramatic with you on this climb Can't wait to feel shitty and tell you about it another time All of the blisterin' mends in a callus Even our bickerin’ getting nostalgic, all of those little things meld into mountains in my mind, uh August came by, saw you say "Bye," wanna stay by your side What the fuck do you say when you know life cannot be the same but you try and try? If those footsteps remainеd after time went by, somеthing expirin' I guess them butterflies in my stomach have been fuckin' retirin', uh (Yeah)

And I love you when I'm back on the climb You're only with me in the back of my mind now It's a cycle, it's a path I can’t find, uh Sisyphus grimace, it’s the rock and roll, vulnerable Maybe it's my fate and it’s all my fault And I know You got a mountain of your own (Yeah)

Wish it wouldn't feel so broken to me Tried to take the edge off, but that only brought it closer to me, uh And I just wanna live in a mo'fuckin' log cabin In a place where you never have to call back, never have to log back in I’ve been backlogged in black fog, I fall back in, dreamin' of times it wasn't all madness I just can't mimic it, though, I been in Sisyphus mode, lookin' up the path of a tall mountain And I keep getting stuck in these potholes, maybe I should just let the rock roll I've been so close to the peak, I know, but I'm tryna stay away from the drop, though So I don't

They only love me when I'm back on the climb (Yeah) You're only with me in the back of my mind now It's a cycle, it's a path I can't find, uh Sisyphus grimace, it's the rock and roll, vulnerable Maybe it's my fate and it's all my fault And I know You got a mountain of your own (Yeah)

Watch your step Lifting slow Giving no Imprint in the snow And I love you to pieces 'Til that's all we're left with (Yeah) 'Til that's all we're left with In the end (Yeah, oh, yeah)

And sometimes, I wanna disappear Been a shitty-ass time Been a shitty-ass year But somehow, I'ma get me past here Never broken— (Oh!) Bow down when I'm—

Everything feels better when I go...
