Muscular Strength is the ability of the muscles to exert a force one time. Muscular Endurance is the ability of muscles to do work over a long period of time. A simple difference between the two is just a matter of the words after muscular. There is a big difference between having strength and having endurance. Having strength means that you could do an intense workout or you could lift something heavy, these things however can not be done over a long duration of time. Endurance is being able to run or be able to do a moderately intense workout for a for a long period of time. Muscular Endurance training would be for example, a mile run or 25 reps of bench press. An example of a sport that requires and works upon muscular endurance would be, cross country or swim. While muscular strength exercises would be more challenging and quick, such as sprinting a short distance, power lifting or doing a heavy bench press with a max of one rep. An example of a sport that would require muscular strength would be, weight lifting or track and field. Muscle movement is also a difference between the two skills.
