Norman Abramson Norman Abramson is an American computer scientist who engineered the first wireless communication between a computer and a network. Norman Abramson, the founder of a team of engineers and scientists that developed the construction of wirelessly computer systems, died on December 1 at his San Francisco home. He was 88 years old at the time. He started work for the ALOHAnet system since the late 1960s and was established as an official local area network in Hawaii in 1971.
