Occasional Speech I’d like to greet each and everyone of you with a pleasant evening. Thank you for gracing this milestone celebration of my life because as they say, you only get to be 18 once. First of all, I’d like to thank my mom, dad, brother, and sister for being there for me all throughout the planning of this memorable event that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Today, I may have officially turned into a lady, but I will always be your little bunso. And please don’t ever think that just because I’m now officially an adult, I will give up my quest to make the perfect chocolate chip cookies, stop playing Rock, Paper, Scissors, or not wait for the “pasalubong para kay bunso” each time you leave the house. You know I’ll always be a kid at heart. Second, I’d also like to thank everyone who put their very best into making this event possible, time, amount of money, dedication, and wonderful ideas spent into making this dream a reality. It is truly an honor to have you as a part of my debut celebration. This is for my event coordinator, lights and sounds crew, booths crew, photographers and videographers, venue, hair and make-up artists, host, catering services, and all of the people behind this momentous occasion. Last but definitely not the least, I also thank God for giving me the greatest gift anyone can receive, the gift of life and love. I couldn’t be more blessed to have my family, friends and the people around me that continuously guide and support me as I embrace every journey that life brings me. Every moment spent with each of you is something that I will always keep in my heart. Afterall, those moments are the very reason that this version of a young lady is standing in front of all of you. 18. Despite being a ‘know-it-all’ at times, I know for a fact that adulthood will never be easy. I’m bound to fail and make mistakes, but I strongly believe that with all of you by my side, I can conquer it all. Just as I did as you shower me with love, life lessons, and understanding for the past 18 years. Again, thank you very much and enjoy the rest of the evening....
