letter on our deepest fears...

Description

‘Our Deepest Fear’ The poem ‘Our Deepest Fear’ is an inspirational and motivational poem that tells the audience how people tend to believe the fear of not being enough, the fear of failure and not being adequate. The fear of not being good enough is what stops people from trying what they want to try because before even trying they already think of failing on what they are about to do. The acceptance of being in one place because of the fear of stepping on the next step afraid of what could be the outcome. The truth is when people make a difference in the world they will not know how to handle it. This connects to “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” (Williamson). We let the judgement of others consume us which stops us from doing what we want to do. The fear of inadequacy and accepting being inadequate is what stops us from doing something greater than we can. Getting used to what we have now but knowing we can do more because of being afraid of failure. We’re so used to the fear of judgement by society that we are so afraid to mess up. At the end of the day we’re not perfect beings. By seeing yourself as an imperfect person but trying to do great unimaginable things will either give you the power to motivate yourself more and others or be used against you in a way that people will always hate on the success of others because of jealousy. Although it is hard not to pay attention to the hate and judgement of others, you really should not put time or energy stressing about it. It is okay to do big things as long as you know your limitations. Having no limitation can lead you to get out of control. Oftentimes we hide in the darkness because we’re afraid to be seen and hear all the judgement from people. “It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.” (Williamson). What frightens us is not because we fear failure but the fear of handling what we are capable of doing. We often doubt ourselves before trying to do anything, at times we ask ourselves who we ever are. Instead we should be thinking about who we can be. We are all children of God, and by looking down at ourselves don’t make any other people around us feel less insecure and bigger of themselves. Just like children who don’t worry about anything and are happy with themselves and life, we should have a mindset like them. We should all believe that God is within us and let the light shine

upon and within us and by shining out there, you will share this and motivate others to do the same. Believe more in yourself, your capabilities, and the beauty to inspire others. “As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others.” (Williamson). When we stop to fear what we are capable of, we embrace the greatness within ourselves. The courageous power that we hold and boldly show it within yourself and others will inspire them to do the same. We can do things we never thought we could aspire to until we’re done and that deep breath of success of weight lifted off your chest will be the best feeling of your achievement. This inspirational poem will motivate readers not to be afraid of their capability of doing great things, not to be afraid of judgement and that as long as you have God and believing within yourself, the light will shine upon you....
