Pillbug Report

Introduction Pillbugs are a form of crustacean, one name for pill bugs is Armadillidium meaning little armadillo. They are not damaging or causing any harm. Hypothesis: All pillbugs will prefer the light side over the dark side.

Methods: We were given a cup that held three pillbugs and a light/dark chamber container. We took the pillbugs one by one and sat them in the center of the chamber and lifted up both sides at the same time to see which side the pill bug would choose. The light side or the dark side.

Results The graph shows the over all data for the entire class for each three pillbugs the groups did.

Conclusion There was a significant difference between the amount of pillbugs that chose the light side over the dark side. Ten more of the pillbugs choose the light over the dark. My results support the hypothesis because there were 36 total pillbugs and over half of them choose the light side.
