Reflection 5 This week during class I learned a lot about risk assessment and how the risk model works. When learning about inherent vs. control risk on my own, I was a little confused at first in the textbook and learnsmart. After you went over it in class and clarified the definitions on the slides I felt like I had a better grasp of it. I felt like class on Thursday was longer than most classes due to how much content we went over and I felt like I did not comprehend everything. I am planning on rewatching the zoom at some point this weekend to make sure I can understand risk assessment. I also liked the fact that we are starting to look at the final assessment now, instead of just doing everything at the end. Most of my classes always pile on all the work and final projects in the last week and it creates so much unneeded stress as I have 3 other classes as well as figuring out all the details of what comes after I graduate. Looking through the final assignment, it seems very intriguing to put in all the information we have learned in audit and tie into the Betting on Zero movie. I found the information on legal liability interesting at the end of class as well. I am contemplating looking into law school after I finish my masters in Accounting at UMass, so this content could help me in the future. The possibility of seeing how a real audit works is very cool to comprehend and I liked learning the risks and liability that comes along with it....
