Egyptians were traders so they traveled around the world and collected different herbs for the treatment. Egyptians knew how to write letters and numbers. So, their knowledge about medicines was preserved through writing. (Brazier) A few treatments utilized ingredients, spices, or plants that appeared like the ailment they were treating, a technique known as simila similibus, or comparative with comparable. Today, homeopathy adheres to a similar set of rules. Ostrich eggs were once used to cure a cracked skull in ancient Egypt. The ancient Egyptians were most likely the first to have skilled doctors, and it was a well-respected profession. Specialists may be found all around Egypt. (Brazier) Egyptians treated different diseases using herbs. In today’s world, many people still prefer herbal treatment as they are very effective, and they have no side effects. Egyptian doctors performed surgeries too; they used different tools to perform surgeries. Though they have limited tools and medicines they didn’t perform much deeper surgeries, but they do perform surgeries. They can easily fix dislocated bones and have medicines to reduce inflammation. These practices are still carried out in the modern world. Now many modern medical tools and medicines are available, surgeons are now able to perform complicated surgeries too. Egyptian doctors prescribed different home remedies for different diseases. In today’s world doctors also prescribed medicines as well as some remedies to cure disease. Egyptian physicians advised people to take care of their hygiene it will prevent infections and disease. Now we know the importance of

2 hygiene. Dentistry was also common in ancient Egypt. Many dentistry practices now a day are obtained from old Egyptian practices. Mental problems, gynecological and skin problems were also treated by Egyptians. In short many diseases, infections were firstly treated by Egyptians. Later as time passed many civilizations around the world had obtained their way of treatment. And by time as knowledge and research about the medicines increases, physicians changed the way of treatment and medicines too. But all this concept of treating disease came from Egyptian civilization. Medical science is one of the greatest achievements of Egyptian civilization. Babylonian arithmetic is a collection of quantitative and advanced numerical procedures written in a cuneiform text from the ancient Near East. Because of the wealth of information available, much research has focused on the Old Babylonian period in the early second thousand years BC. There has been debate about when Babylonian math first appeared, with historians giving a range of dates between the fifth and third centuries BC. Babylonian math was primarily written on mud tablets in the Akkadian or Sumerian dialects using cuneiform material. (Anirudh) The Sumerian or Elbaite civilizations provided the Babylonians with their number structure. They worked with a base 60 or sexagesimal number system. We can calculate advanced estimates for both the hour and the moment based on this. Because 60 has so many divisors (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15, 20, and 30), a sexagesimal framework simplifies computations over the decimal, or base 10, the framework we utilize now a day. In contrast to their archetypes, “Babylonians” utilized a “positional numeral framework”, where the worth of a digit relies equally upon the digit and its position. “Positional framework” significantly works on math. The “Babylonian” number framework is the most well-known “positional numeral framework”, and it is widely regarded as their most significant scientific accomplishment. Whatever the case

3 may be, the Babylonians had no concept of nothing or a numeral for it. They made better use of the available area. The Babylonians made significant scientific achievements thanks to their high-level number foundation. (Anirudh)
