The task of filming a video with the theme of social responsibility (CSR) has been assigned and the title for our group is animal abuse. Animal abuse, a common ‘light fatality’ that found no end. Animal abuse has been ongoing for quite a time and this promotes the founding of numerous organization and laws that seems quite useful in reducing the rate of mortality and extinction of a species. Tracing back the history of human civilization, animal cruelty never ceases to exist be it during the Roman Empire or Mayan empire. It made the parental instinct in me nauseous as the strong manipulate the weak for their filthy desire. It made me reflect on the purpose of why human are made superior to other species.

I feel repulsed as I reminisced the moment it happened right in front of me. Throwing a newborn kitten into a lake and cracking a tortoise’s shell are some of the examples of common cruelty done by the citizen around my housing area. Animal abuse was deemed as entertainment by some foolish brat as hearing the animal’s plea bring the feeling of superiority to their weak-self. The scene unfolding before my eyes was never a pleasant experience and being a kid, I am powerless.

Due to the experience, I was determined in spreading kindness towards animal through my actions and words as I grow older. I started by patrolling the residential area, searching for hungry and injured animal. 500g of dry food by my side and a wet tissue accompanies me everytime I go for a patrol. Sometime, I asked random kids to join my journey and taught him/her why we need to be gentle. It is a small step but I hope by slowly educating the younger generation will change the future generation way of thinking....
