NSS ASSIGNMENT-1 TOPIC-GIVE YOUR VIEWS ON CLEANLINS DRIVE: “A DREAM OR REALITY” IntroductionCleanliness is a very important thing in our day to day life. Whether it's our home, workspace or public place. It is one of the very basic needs of civilised lifestyle. Mahatma Gandhi gave the mantra "Cleanliness is Godliness" and our honourable prime minister launched the swachh Bharat abhiyan inspired by mahatma gandhi. Cleanliness and hygiene are not only for our personal belongings or our own homes, we need to make sure to keep our surroundings clean wherever we go, clean india mission focuses on the eradication of open defecation all over the country and the efforts have been made for the same since it's commencement for the same since it's commencement in 2nd October 2014. As per the statistics published by the government of India or swach Bharat abhiyan more than 10 crores toilets have been built during the mission states have been declared defecation free and hence the mission has largely improved the lifestyle of a common indian. Our government is doing every possible thing to make sure that our country becomes more and more clean and green and hygienic by every passing day and as a responsible citizen it is our duty to maintain it and do every possible thing we can do our nation with this noble mission. The Cleanliness of our surroundings is our responsibility, not only when
it comes to our homes but also when it comes to public places like parks, tourist attractive places and public toilets and many more like that. Cleanliness in public places not only improves the standard of living of our country but also gives a very positive image about India to the tourists who visits our beautiful diverse cultural country. Federal government records say that harayana with its population of more than 25 million is squeaky clean. The state along with most others in India, is classified "open defecation free", while a world bank supported nation-wide survey says only 0.3% of Haryana's rural population defecates outside. So the conclusion of this is we all need to come together to complete this mission and make our India stand out the best out of others.
