Shayla Fleming 2-1 Short Response: Reviewing a Scholarly Article Discuss what steps you found to be the easiest. The most manageable steps to reading the scholarly article were reading the title first, the abstract, and the conclusion. The title is obviously the easiest step to complete most of the time, its only one sentence. The abstract was the next easiest part, which helped me recognized key terms and elements. Third, the conclusion was another easy step that is also relatively short to read. Discuss what you are finding most difficult about reading and understanding the article. The article's most challenging reading steps were the citations, the methods, and the material and the results. I had to keep starting over to try to understand and maintain a clear understanding. The methods and materials were complicated for me, essentially the same reason: the jargon. Of course, I'm not familiar with the plant life and biological, so many of those terms were way beyond my understanding. Were there any parts of the article that you did not understand? If so, identify them for your instructor. I spent a lot of time on this article trying to comprehend all the information. I couldn’t pronounce some of the shrubs' species and did not know many of the article's formulas. In your own words, what do you think is the main idea of the article? The article's main idea was to discover which set of seven shrubs species could be best for environmental conditions....
