Drinking coffee in large amounts contributes to various negative physical effects as well as the deterioration of one’s emotional and cognitive functions.

Main Idea 1

Consuming coffee affects a woman’s physical health.

Supporting Details

i) Women who consume too much coffee will have a reduced chance of getting pregnant (Burke, 2014).

ii)Women who drink too much coffee will most likely miscarriage in the future (Joggs, 2011 cited in Burke, 2014).

iii)Pregnant women who consume coffee will have lower bone density (American Medical Journal, 2012, cited in Burke, 2014).

iv) According to Peters and Wellers (2012, cited in Burke, 2014), expecting mothers will be more irritable when they do not watch their coffee intake (Burke, 2014).

Excessive coffee consumption can affect sleep.
