The source seems to be valid. I believe it is valid because it does list additional resources. The articles listed as resources are also not EPA based making the article unbiased.

Although this is a valid source it is not relevant to my topic.

Questions

Which of your two chosen resources (from Site #2 and Site #3) would you consider to be more valid? Explain your choice. Site 3 because it has an author, date of publish, and has cited links that function. Site two has very little information and its links lead to advertisings.

Briefly summarize (in 1 to 2 paragraphs) the natural science topic featured in your selected Science Daily news story from the Week 1 Discussion. The article is about the affects that the lockdown has had on the younger population in the UK. In the article it discusses the importance of returning to some level of normal to aid children from long term effects of depression. Although the actual effect may not be seen for up to 10 years it is explained that without the social interaction today’s children’s mental health may be impacted negatively. A letter written to the UK Education Secretary details what the review team suggest as appropriate ways to return to normal while protecting the children from the virus. How would you go about finding more information on the topic that you chose from Science Daily? List at least two different sources that you would consider reliable. I would begin researching in scholar sites for articles pertaining to the long-term effects of isolation and lack of social skills. I would also research who are more affected by the isolation and what effects can be expected from the older generation.

The first source I would like to us is Science Direct and I would search using key words such as Adolscent mental health during lock down, covid-19 depression, pandemic children depression, ect. The article that I would use from this specific site would be “Adolescent psychiatric disorders during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0165178120318382 The second source that I would use is SSRS specifically their paper Covid-19 and Lockdown: A Study on the Impact on Mental Health. https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm? abstract_id=3577515

Briefly explain why you think these are reliable sources of information to help you find out more about your Science Daily topic. Both scored high on the source evaluation rubric. They are also both credible scholar articles. Both articles provide credentials for the authors as well as different studies concluded with results....
