Comments: Is this a valid source? What leads you to that conclusion?

Article from Site #2 I would not consider this source as valid, there are too many missing components in this website ie: Missing author, missing publication date, missing reference, links that lead to nothing but more un-researched proven data.

Article from Site #3 This is a valid source, The information is backed by researchable data and information. The website itself is from a respectable organization, as well as the information generated from scientist all over the world.

Questions

Which of your two chosen resources (from Site #2 and Site #3) would you consider to be more valid? Explain your choice. Naturally I would choose site 3, as site 2 does not have any redeeming qualities to justify it being a good source. Site 3 has verifiable and unbiased information that is backed with the research and evidence from scientists all around the world, that and is scored a 22 (for me) on the CRAPPO test.

Briefly summarize (in 1 to 2 paragraphs) the natural science topic featured in your selected Science Daily news story from the Week 1 Discussion. The natural science topic of my choice is about the increasing number of earthquakes and its after effect on Puerto Rico. Over the past few months earthquake activity is has been increasing within Puerto Rico. Even as we speaking Puerto Rico is seeing increasing amounts of semiotic activity. From 01 September 2020 to 05 September 2020 Puerto Rico has had 10 earthquakes, roughly two per day averaging from 2.8 to 3.7 on the rector scale. But while the earthquakes as of late have been small, the affects they have had on the Puerto Ricans have been substantial. How would you go about finding more information on the topic that you chose from Science Daily? List at least two different sources that you would consider reliable. The easily ways to learn more about the seismic activity sounding Puerto Rico is through Google search, news reports, and victim statements, granted each website and new report visited will have to past the CRAPPO test in order for it to be deemed valid and worthy enough to be used as a sited source. Google searches and news reports can give the damage reports on, situations and infrastructure, and the economy. Geological websites can give the pattern of the seismic activity, the scale of the earthquake,

and possibly predictions to the next incoming earthquake. While news reports and victim impact statements will you the knowledge of how the earthquakes have affected the people themselves. Briefly explain why you think these are reliable sources of information to help you find out more about your Science Daily topic. As listed above, News Reports and Victim impact statements give information about the mental and psychological impacts of earthquakes upon the Puerto Rican citizens. This help understand the situation better to my topic because psychology is both a social science and a natural science. Geological websites can give the pattern of the seismic activity, the scale of the earthquake, and possibly predictions to the next incoming earthquake. The main question I will have troubles finding, is the why. Why do the continental plates shift as they do, what is it about Puerto Rico’s location that makes it so susceptible to earthquake activity....
