About MATRADE Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), was established in March 1993 as a statutory agency under the Ministry of International Trade Industry (MITI). As Malaysia’s national export promotion agency, MATRADE is responsible for assisting Malaysian companies succeed in the international market. MATRADE’s vision of making Malaysia the premier exporting nation is paired with its mission to develop and promote Malaysia’s exports to the world. MATRADE serves to promote Malaysia’s external trade with particular emphasis on the export of manufactured and semi-manufactured products and services. In addition, MATRADE formulates and implements export marketing strategies and trade promotion activities to increase Malaysia’s exports, undertake market research, and create a comprehensive database of information for the development and improvement of Malaysia’s trade. MATRADE also organizes training programs to enhance the international marketing skills of Malaysian exporters, promote and assist in services related to trade, and protect Malaysia’s international trade interest abroad. MATRADE is also actively involved in assisting foreign companies to source for suppliers of Malaysian products and services, and is represented worldwide at 40 locations in major commercial cities. In Malaysia, MATRADE has five local branches in Penang, Terengganu, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak. The headquarters is located at Menara MATRADE, Kuala Lumpur. Findings and Conclusion This website provides accurate and comprehensive information and all the related contents are properly labelled and organized. For example, the purpose, mission, vision, objectives, functions and services provided are clearly stated in the organization profile. The website’s design and aesthetics are excellent as it contains all the basic features such as sitemap, contact information, concise news and events as well. The layout structure include photos and videos slideshow along with infographics, posters and fascinating gallery throughout the website. MATRADE indeed have an exclusive podcast series, hence perfect and caters to the needs of users with audio disabilities. Besides that, the disclosure of authors, sponsors and developers are clearly stated in the Malaysian brand, product and services directory. This website complied with all applicable laws and policies governing personal privacy and the confidentiality of

All the information provided in this website are always up-to-date and current particularly the social media platforms, news clippings, press releases, and events and highlights. For instance, a popup notification on the closure of MATRADE headquarters in compliance of the Movement Control Order 3.0 to curb the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, the authority of source is excellent because the information providers are reliable. This website also is organized in a logical manner and the movement between pages and links is not complicated. For example, there are three separated categories located at the top homepage which is listed especially for Malaysian exporters and foreign buyers as guidance for ease of use. This is truly favourable as the website contained extensive information under these three categories. Furthermore, the links are labelled with great attention and provide accurate labelling for each link thus the navigation structure is great because of the clarity in the links labelling. Usage of homepage logo link and social media icons are easily identified on purpose and provide quick access to verify users access frequently due to the familiarity. In terms of accessibility and availability, returning to this website would be an easy task. The reason behind this is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is implemented by the developer of the website to attract more visitors. The sources of attribution and documentation are reliable and current since it is managed by the organisation itself. The language used are Malay and English and they are appropriate for the intended audience. The site also include all types of accessible contact addresses and user support. Moreover, this will increase the customer satisfaction level and show them a better customer experience. On a final note, I recommend this website to the audience as a platform to seek information about MATRADE.
