Create a two column script, video info on left, audio and script info on right. Wise to create more room for the left side. Keep your anchor lead-in on the right and try to keep the lead to two, at most three short sentences. 15 seconds max. Capitalize all anchor copy. GOOD NEWS - THE FIGURES ARE IN AND LATEST ESTIMATES INDICATE ONLINE SHOPPING FOR CYBER MONDAY JUMPED NEARLY 20 PERCENT FROM A YEAR AGO. MARVIS HOLLAND HAS MORE ON THE NUMBERS AND HOW LOCAL BUSINESSES ARE ADAPTING.

Start with nat sound if possible, followed by a descriptive sentence that writes to video. Capitalize all of your reporter copy, but keep the sound bites and stand-up in lower case. Indicate voice tracks with TRACK – and sound bites with SOT for sound on tape. You can use Nat SOT or Nat Sound for a natural sound break.

--SOT— I think the trend that retailers and e-tailers are watching is whether – in total volume - online shopping will over-take good old fashioned store shopping.
