Source Analysis Help Whatever source of information you are asked to answer try and use the same format. Below is an example of how you can answer a question consistently.
1. Always refer to the source and the author in the first two sentences. There will be either a number or a letter attached to the source so make sure you use the correct one. 2. When using the author’s name, use their last name. 3. Next use the information in the source to provide your answer, ALWAYS USE AN EXAMPLE. If there is a quote you can use then do it, if there are facts, figures or statistics use them. 4. Lastly say why this is the answer. 5. You may be asked to use multiple Sources in your answer so make sure this is done, use the same process but remember to use the sources that are relevant. 6. Always use the information from the source to give you the answer. Note: Don’t use I, write in the third person.
