The four way call scene from the movie called mean girls English for academic purposes program EAPP...

Description

In the movie “Mean Girls” (2004) in the scene Four-way-call it shows that Cady Heron and Regina George were on the phone talking about Gretchen Wieners, about how Gretchen was worrying if Regina is mad that she got nominated for Spring Fling Queen therefore competing against her. As a response Regina precisely cleared that she is not mad of Gretchen for getting nominated, she was worried for her getting hurt at the results. In this response Regina was getting personal and imprecise with her words towards Gretchen that she wont win due to her looks, although she wasn’t statistically correct with her argument on Gretchen’s votes. Regina added that their other friend Karen Smith should’ve been nominated instead of Gretchen however according to Regina’s opinions, Karen is overlooked upon considering that she’s a loose woman or a “slut” as said in the film. The call ended shortly after, Regina wasn’t very cautious with her words and appears that Gretchen was a part of the call and was able to hear the whole conversation. Hurt by Regina’s words Gretchen quickly dials her friend Karen to discuss about the newly gotten information from Regina. Gretchen started the conversation by asking a hypothetical question concerning a friend saying something bad towards another friend, unfortunately Karen didn’t get the chance to reply to Gretchen as she received a call from Regina, creating a four-way-call. Eventually Gretchen told Karen that Regina called her a “slut” which ended the scene. The conversation they had was informal because it consists of layman’s terms, it was personal because Regina talked about her opinions and assumptions about how other students look at Gretchen and Karen, emotional because of how Gretchen took the information and recklessly calls Karen afterwards, and incautious words used by Regina towards her friends because she hurt feelings and broke trusts. It was precise and simple to understand, Regina was straight-forward and got straight to the point. However this is not academic text but it involves its elements and nature to analyze the conversation....
