Description

Narrate an experience you had with a writing or reading task that you found (or still find) difficult or challenging. Explain the significance of this experience.

I still find sometime hard to do some of the reading or writing tasks although I have been better on both reading and writing tasks these days. I would like to share an experience how I got better on my reading. My parents especially my dad always compelled me to read books when I was younger. I without a doubt despised perusing at the time. I thought it was exhausting, boring and misuse of my day. I just needed to stare at the TV or play computer games. They chose to offer me a motivating force, however. I saw my parents always trying to direct me to reading task one way or another. One day, I was told that if I read 20 pages in a book, I will get a dollar as a reward. If I think now, that dollar was nothing. Going back while I was a youngster, however, that dollar was everything. I thought that I would be saving money and would be rich from that minute on through my reading. I had all the list what I wanted to buy with those money that I would be collecting through my reading. All the dresses, computer games and many more. It could purchase whatever would ring a bell. This deal with my father was one of the most significant moments in my education and literacy advancement because it helped me build up my vocabulary through reading, urged me to use my imagination, and motivated me to read more books. For the first few weeks it was really hard for me. Every time I started reading, I felt asleep or my mind wandered but I know what is motivating me is that dollar for every 20 pages. I began with reading smaller books that were simple and has only 100 pages in total. I finished reading my first book in about two weeks, but I was much more excited about getting a reward of five dollars as a dollar per page than my achievement of completing the book as a youngster mind. I could not hold on to spend it. I realized that I needed more. I did not go to the shop and purchase dolls, dresses or video games with it; I rather got the following book my dad had on his table for me and started reading it. This time I was doing something different. I did not turn

on the television so I could more focus on my book and understand the story that the writer wanted to tell. After few pages only, I could feel the strong words on the page and brainstorm the wonderful scene that the writer put in my mind and see the characters interface in my mind as they did in the pages of the book. In the smaller story books, the vocabulary that was used was not challenging but it was nicely written. Every sentence in the paragraph was simple but fascinating. I was welcomed with a straightforward landscape that the writer gave through his composition. I could see the adorable young lady strolling the little puppies outside in the plains. She would get the water from the well in the morning and milk the cows while her mom was busy cleaning and cooking inside while her dad is out at work. I could only envision how fascinating it would be in advanced books compared to this, no play on words expected. At the point when I began perusing more advanced challenging books, I was stunned at the view the writer gave. I could see the most sophisticated details contrasted with previously. The charming young lady was now the gorgeous girl with shimmering blue eyes, long shinning hair, and mole above each cheek. The young lady currently strolled the little Labrador that was about a month and a half old. The prairies were ravishing. The view was ceaseless. The sky along the horizon was breath taking with the sunrise. The scenarios and the pictures in my mind can’t be clarified. They were extraordinary, giving me profound knowledge and helped me become genuinely joined to the players in the book. The reading of the book I had done until this point was to set me up for the most elite. I recall when a portion of the larger books were turning out and I was not sure if I am ready for the challenge in studying more advanced book with a very extreme and progressive vocabulary and sentences, but I felt like I was ready for it. My father offered to twenty dollars if I finished reading the whole book that he recently got it from her bookshelf which was more advanced than the previous one. I know that I was doing better, and I wanted to take his challenge. I feel luckier myself because the book he wanted me to finish was the book I was thinking to read next. I really wanted to finished reading the book he gave me as I was more

interested. Luckily, I would get paid for it as well. I feel like I was the luckiest person the world. This resembled the proportionate to having a desired work which you cherished doing and got paid to do too. Next morning, my mom woke me up and gave me the book that my parents decided before she went to work for that afternoon. I was tired from less sleep and staying up late because of my extra reading times; but I am certain that I needed to finish reading this book because of two great reasons. One I really began to love readings books and second I would get $20.I read the book, and the presentation made a fabulous showing featuring the characters and setting me up for mind boggling story. Going through the book, I had probably the most fantastic encounters in my brain as I had the creative mind of a kid and the studying capacity of the normal secondary school senior around then. The rising activity was indulgent, keeping me anxious for the huge piece of the book. I never had any though of what might happen afterwards, much like genuine where it is not possible to foresee what’s to come. As I was getting closer to the end of the book, I felt more exciting. The rising activity taking me up to the end couldn’t have set me for the story’s climax. The climax was unbelievable cannot clarify the emotions and feelings it gave me. I was certain that I needed to get more and that I would need to hold up another entire year to have increasingly extreme feelings. My mom and dad both were happy and proud of me once I told them I completed reading the entire book. It was hard for them to believe that I finished the book in a short period of time than their expectations. My dad quizzed me on some of the question from the book to make sure I actually finish reading the book. Then, he gave me $20 bill as he had promised me in the beginning. My mom took me to the shop to buy anything I wanted with the cash my dad gave me plus $5 from the previous book reading. My mom was sure that if she could persuade and motivate me to start reading, I would wind up loving reading the book as much as she loves to read. She was even more surprised seeing what I did with the money that I got it from dad. Although, I could buy a lot of toys and dresses with the money I had, I ran over to the book area

of the shop and began searching for more books which topped my enthusiasm after I read the summary which is on the back of every book. I told my mother that I just needed one book this time. She and I started looking lot of books that required an advanced level of knowledge that will fit my desire of readings. I can’t recall the name of the book I selected; however, I remember it was not the good book as the previous one but definitely has more advanced vocabulary, and sentences. This way, my desire for reading books got more and more after the completion of each book. It was all through this time I was very fond of reading, which I previously no interest at all. Those moments of reading helped me to have an astonishing vocabulary at an early age and many years during my schooling. I got to study novels and books which gave some of the most novel pictures in my mind, some of which I despite everything recall starting as now. This has improved me so much along my life as I would not have any clue where my life would me at this time had I not acquired this impressive vocabulary and acquired such a desire for reading. I strongly believe that the best way to improve on anything that you want is through lots of practice and repetition whether it is playing guitar or reading books....
