Testing the Water: Johari Window The Johari Window is a tool devised by American psychologists Joseph Luft and Harry Ingham for illustrating and improving self-awareness and mutual understanding between individuals within a group.

Instructions: On the arena region, write the things that are known to you and you believe are also known to others. On the façade region, write the things that are known only to you but you keep from others. On the blindspot region, request classmates, friends, or family members to write (or tell you) the things that are known to them about you and may be unknown to you. Leave the unknown blank.
