Description

REFLECTION

Laudato Si which means “Praise Be to You, My Lord” is a second encyclical of Pope Francis. The Encyclical Laudato Si is developed around the concept of internal ecology as a paradigm that able us to articulate the relationship of us people to God. Looking through the eyes of the poor. For me, Pope Francis wanted to convey how we must care and look out for the poor. Helping the poor is one of our life’s purposes. We must be generous and kind to them especially when we are the ones who are fortunate enough. We should be the light that the poor want to see and the change that they want to experience. It may be in a form of charity, feeding program, teaching the kids, or donating cash or in any form of assistance. Helping the poor is a chance for us to enter the Kingdom of God, heaven, as we fulfill our duty as children of God. Also, when we help others, especially the poor, the sense of fulfillment hits different as it gives peace to our heart and place to our soul. Another thing is the Earth, the place that we are living right now. Taking good care of our environment is important to our well-being. The Earth provides us with the ability to have balance in our everyday lives. Nature is a God-given creation that keep us existing and living. Even in our simple little ways such as proper disposal of garbage, not burning plastics and not doing illegal nature attacks like deforestation or illegal swimming will make a difference. It takes small steps to make a huge difference. It’s good to start on our own but it is best if it’s more. Hence, we must be good, bighearted, empathetic, not only to the poor, but to everyone. Above all, put God at the center of our lives for us see things through the eyes of God....
