Reflection Essay

My perspective of theology has changed sense the beginning of this course. I once thought of theology as something that only preachers, pastors and researchers did, but I have come to realize that we are all theologians. We are studying Gods word, and what he has said we are practicing theology. When we study the words of God, we are showing our dedication to him, as well as increasing our faith. It is important for us to study and live our lives for Him, so that we can glorify his name, and show others how great He is. Studying the bible also improves our defense when confronted about the bible, because we will understand what it means and why we believe what we believe. I realize now how important this is in my life, and how much it matters to know these things. Practice in my life The principles I have learned in this course have allowed me to have a fuller understanding of what it means to study the Bible and learn from the Word of God. This has allowed me to practice better studying habits when reading the bible and has also taught me how to interpret what I am reading. This has improved my time I spend reading the Word of God, and the amount of information I take away from my reading. This course has helped me better understand why I believe what I believe and how back it up with the bible. This will allow me to take a stronger stand for God and his Word when I am asked and allow me to provide logical sound doctrine that may help them understand the love of Jesus. I hope to use what I have learned to better live my live for the glory of God and the furtherment of his kingdom. I want to be able to share with others what I have learned and help bring them to the Lord. I want to live my life for Him, and knowing the best way to study the Bible, and how to learn from His word will help me greatly with this. Pass on Information I hope to be able to pass along the information I have learned through group bible studies and maybe teaching classes at church. Many people can benefit from knowing how to study the bible and how to understand the teachings. The information I have learned in this class could influence many Christians lives, and help them have a better walk with the Lord. I hope that someday I will be able to pass this knowledge onto my children to come, so that they will have the knowledge and ability to stand for Christ and to know why they believe what they do. I will also use what I have learned to spread the gospel of Christ to those who do not know him, that they may too, one day know what it means to be saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. I hope to be able to use my knowledge to help lead some of my friends to Christ, as I do not want to see them end up going to hell because I did not share with them. Having a firmer understanding of what I believe will help me be able to reach them, to share the gospel with the people I care about most. I plan on sharing this with my wife as well, strengthening our bond and as well as her understanding of the Lord. Passing along this information will help many people, and that is something I long to do....
