January 19, 2021 Dear Midlothian High School Family, The virtual learning environment forced by the COVID-19 pandemic has presented new challenges for the staff in finding content for the 2021 book. Many people are asking if there will be a 2021 book, and the answer is a resounding yes! The 2021 Yearbook staff has been working hard this year at generating new story ideas and content that covers life in virtual and hybrid learning. Despite the lack of the traditional trappings of an in-person school year, the students have been coming up with great content and stories to tell the story of this unique school year. Earlier in the fall, the staff sent out a survey through Canvas to students soliciting content on a wide range of topics to include:
Virtual workspaces Athletes training during COVID The fall play The 2020 elections Quarantine hobbies
We have included a copy of our initial survey to this e-mail for you to review. Please feel free to share anything you have related to the topics. As we continue through the year, we’re still looking to cover your stories. While the school building closed, the stories did not. The yearbook staff is interested in finding out how you have dealt with the school closure from online learning to new hobbies to new jobs. If you have a story you’d like to share, let us know by visiting us:

Several questions have come in related to underclass pictures. Initially, underclass pictures were scheduled for December, but then the return to virtual school occurred. Once we have a better idea of the return-to-learn plan, we will be having underclass portrait days scheduled at the school. Finally, the 2021 yearbook is still for sale, and we still have copies left. To order a book, please visit www.yearbookordercenter.com (Job number is 4897). This book is turning into one of the best books we’ve done, so you’re not going to want to miss out on this one.
Regards, The 2020 Midlothian High School Trojan Yearbook staff...
