He divides phrase ological units into phrase ological combination, phrase- ological unities and phrase- ological fusions. According to Zykova (2006), Arnold employs the syntactical approach. He classifies them into six groups which arenoun phrase- ologisms, verb phrase- ologisms, adjective phrase- ologisms, adverb phrase- ological units, preposition phrase- ological units, and inter-jection phrase- ological units (para.5). Guliyeva points out that Koonin's Classificati on is based on structural- semantic principle and also on the functions units fulfill in communica ion. According to his viewpoint, phraseologi cal units can be: nominative interjection al, nominative communica -ive, and communica -ive (p.6). Translation Strategies Baker (1992) suggests six strategies to deal with idioms (p. 75).
