Creative nonfiction of the olden times and literary journalism also fall under literature. Certain extremely technical writings such as those on logistics and mathematics are also considered as a part of literature. Through deliberate elaborations that the writer made, we can see how literature takes role in our society. Literature is proven to contribute to the development of our society through its broad outreach. It relentlessly shaping our civilization by developing morale and ethics in our society. Its authenticity plays a huge part in building individuals’ empathy and catalyzing the procurement of our social actions. It transfers the reader into a parallel world full of wonder, love, peace, sorrow, and conflict. Literature indeed it is my escape from the harsh reality. Literature in its own self is a mirror that humans hold up to themselves, to the world, and to history. The lessons we learn, the battles we fight, the hearts we melt are all cooked by us from reading. Literature has been a form of entertainment from the 15th century to this day. It has always been a quiet escape for every fond reader. Although nowadays literature seems to gradually lose its value within the modern society, literature remains an essential portion to it. The contributions literature continues to make, even when it is neglected, could not be set aside. Literature is a leading role in the development of our society by shaping our civilization, developing each individual tolerance, and catalyzing the procurement of our social actions. The best example of this is Holy Bible which is sacred text can be considered most influential book ever published. “Its mighty power has affected every department of human activity” wrote by Arthur Pink. It teach us moral values and way of life that Christian should have many of us relied this book when we’re facing our daily obstacle and the most importance is it will help us to know more about our creator and his son.
