Background of topic

Central Idea

Negative effects of social media to society. I am interested in this topic and have done some research on it which is social media and depression from Clearvue Health and one in six Malaysians spend more than nine hours a day on social media from YouGov. Social media appear to be fun, convenient and interactive ways to talk with friends or catch up on the latest trends but they are not as harmless as they may be seemed. Social media has recently become part of adolescent people's daily activities. Many of them spend hours each day on Twitter, Messenger, Instagram, Facebook, and other popular social media to update from their friends and family. The impact of social media on people is significant. Most people believe that social media is more benefit than consequence, but actually can be harmful. There are many negative effects of media social in our society.

CONCLUSION Conclusion

Recommendation

Both the graph and bar chart show an increase of depression and waste time if used often on social media. Social media become a bad habit and has many disadvantages that have found its way into life. The negative effect of social media is due to many factors such as bully cyber that can lead to depression, social media as a medium to spread slander and waste time of used often on social media. To reduce the number of negative effects on social media, we need to looks at several solutions that can fix the negatives effect on social media. Firstly, track how much time you spend on the apps a day and lessen it. Next, ignore the comments or the people that try to bring young down. Besides, regain control of your life and do not let social media determine your life choices. Lastly, distract yourself and hangout out with friends or do something productive to avoid the temptations. After making a change and not being dependent or wasting time on social media you will be able to get more involved in other aspects of your life.
