My name is Akshay Karande and I am from Mumbai, India. I have completed my graduation in Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication department from Mumbai University. Currently, I am pursuing MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Jammu. I would describe myself as a pro-active and open-minded person who like to take on challenges. I am the kind of person who like to explore new things in life. I prefer to analyse problems to its core and evaluate it from various perspectives before taking any decision. I have strong self- belief and always strive for the best. I remember that after my first attempt at CAT, when I was not able to get admission into a reputed B-school, I felt devastated. I had the option of going for less reputed Bschool, but I had this dream of studying at an IIM. I decided to believe in myself and not give up on my dream of studying at an IIM. I rectified my mistakes and constantly worked to improve myself. Finally, my dream was fulfilled when I secured admission in IIM Jammu. I still remember the day when my phone flashed with the message “Congratulations, you have secured admission in IIM Jammu”. This incident taught me the importance of self-belief, dedication and integrity. Also, it made me realize that one must always take responsibility of his/her work and never stop learning.

Being part of such a company will surely provide me the opportunity to use my creativity for the development of innovative products. 2. It is one of the few companies in the world which has the ability to create an impact on almost all countries in the world with its products. I would certainly like to be a part of such a company, which will give me the opportunity to create a positive impact on the people living across various continents. 3. Robust APM program: Google has a robust APM program for people who are interested to work as product management interns at Google. It gives a pathway to a wide range of opportunities that the company has to offer and also attract the best minds all over the world. 4. Mentorship: Product management interns work under experienced people who have vast industry knowledge. This provides an excellent opportunity to learn new things from the best minds around the globe.

The first thing that I will do is that I will thoroughly read the report which is given by Upraised highlighting my strengths and blindspots. It will give me an idea on the skills that I need to improve. I would focus on improving my blindspots and at the same time further strengthen my strong skills. I will talk to people who have performed better than me and ask for their advice. I would try to know what exactly they did differently and how can I improve myself. I would also talk to experienced people in the industry to understand the skills and the traits required to be successful as a product manager. Since I want to pursue opportunities in the analytics industry, I would also focus on leaning

data analytics softwares. I would also work on my soft skills which will not only help me in my interview but also help me become a better manager.
