Applicants with Provisionally Accepted and/ or Waiting List statuses will not be able to register unless the status has changed to “ACCEPTED” or “ACCEPTED ON FINAL RESULTS”.

CONFIRMATION OF ACCEPTANCE As only a limited number of applicants can be accepted for this programme, you are kindly requested to return the enclosed confirmation of acceptance form, indicating that you accept this offer. An applicant who has received a bursary or a sponsorship must produce written proof thereof. A copy of an application for a bursary will not be accepted. If the applicant has a sponsor who is paying the fee, a letter from the sponsor should be presented when registering. The letter should be addressed to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and include a declaration stating:

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

Applicants, who are not South African citizens, will NOT be allowed to register unless they are already in possession of a valid study permit at CPUT. It is expected that English study programme has been completed at school. Please ensure that you are aware of all the special conditions pertaining to your registration. International applicants should first report to the International Students Registration Point. You are required to bring with you of the following:

All the documentation pertaining to your qualifications and the admission requirements of the programme you wish to study, Your passport. Proof of comprehensive medical aid cover (valid for 12 months) and valid in South Africa. Deposit slips (where applicable). Your acceptance registration letter. No international student will be registered without proof of above-mentioned documents. No international student will be registered without a valid visa (receipts will not be accepted) and a South African medical aid cover (valid for 12 months). The University reserves the right to verify the authenticity of all documentation. Disciplinary action will be taken should it be proved that fraudulent documents were submitted. International applicants are encouraged to make every attempt to arrive on time before/during registrations. Follow the guidelines set out for students in the faculty that you will be entering. Part-time International students with work permits MUST also submit a South African Medical Aid cover (valid for 12

months) in order to be registered. This applies to returning students as well. All international applicants excluding refugees are required to make an upfront payment of 50% of the anticipated fees for the year.
