Self-defense is an act done in order to protect yourself ma’am.

-

Yes, ma’am.

Correct, so Self-defense is a countermeasure that involves defending the health and well-being of oneself from any harm. The use of the right of self-defense as a legal justification for the use of force in times of danger is available in many jurisdictions, but the interpretation varies widely. Did you get it? Under the Self-Defense we have two, which are…. Kindly read the first one Miss Shaine.

For the second one, Sir Leo Shane.

Physical Self Defense - use of physical force to counter an immediate threat of violence. - the force can be either armed or unarmed. - In either case, the chances of success depend on a large number of parameters, related to the severity of the threat on one hand, but also on the mental and physical preparedness of the defender. Mental Self Defense - ability to get into the proper mindset for executing a physical self-defense technique. - If you are skilled in the physical aspects of a defensive technique, but lacks the mental toughness and tenacity to execute it, you will not be able to perform.

Now, any idea about Unarmed Self-Defense? Anyone from the group? Okay you may answer.

-

Ma’am, permission to speak.

-

For me ma’am unarmed self defense, is the act of protecting yourself even without the use of things like “gamit” ma’am.

Very good, Unarmed Self-defense - involves the use of "natural weapons" of your body, including the hands, elbows, feet and knees - these are hard body surfaces that, when used properly, can cause an attacker severe pain and inflict serious damage. At common law the defense of unarmed self-defense operates in three spheres. It allows a person to use reasonable force to:  Defend himself from an attack.  Prevent an attack on another person.  Defend his property. Kindly read the next slide, Miss Sophie.

-

Most popular martial arts are predominantly unarmed forms of self-defense. This martial art system generally originated from Asian regions, although there are some that come from the West.

Let’s proceed to the Benefits of Learning Self Defense So again Self-defense will not only help prevent an attack on your life, but you might be surprised to learn that it comes with a wide range of other useful benefits as well. This is especially true when you learn to defend yourself with martial arts. Kindly read the #1 Benefit, Miss Irish and share your thoughts about it.

#1 Benefit: Allows You to Defend Yourself with Knowledge Self-defense it is a skill that was specifically designed to render an attacker useless without maiming them or hurting them to the point of death. That’s what martial arts will teach you. It will teach you control. How many times have you seen people end up with life in prison for killing an attacker? This is what happens when you get a carry permit. -

Correct, despite what you might believe martial arts isn’t about hurting people. Yes, it can be brutal at times

and sometimes people use it for the wrong reasons. However, the true intention of the art is for selfdefense. Learn to protect yourself a noble way with an ancient yet effective skill that will come in handy in even more ways than one. For the 2nd benefit kindly read it Miss Jasmin. And what can you say about it?

- #2 Benefit: Builds Confidence For me ma’am, once you start attaining belts, you’ll develop even more confidence. Since, martial art is always about learning. You’ll likely be learning and developing skills the entire time you are practicing the art, which means you’ll only continue to build and develop confidence.

Very good, speaking of another way that martial arts will come in handy, confidence. Even if you are confident, martial arts can make you more confident. The workouts are rigorous and oftentimes performed in front of a crowd or with a group of individuals, so you’ll get over your stage fright right away. Third benefit, Miss Marnie.

- #3 Benefit: No Better Stress Relief What I can say ma’am is that the threat of a life-ending attack, the hassles of raising children, and the woes of holding down a fulltime job. These are all things that are going to stress you out. They are also all things that can’t be avoided. You can throw down your children and you can’t just quit your job either.

You’re right, just 5 minutes in the gym learning martial arts and your whole outlook will be changed. You’ll not only feel better about your entire day, but you’ll have a burst of second wind energy that you don’t know how to explain. And for the last two Mr. Bradley.

-

Correct to in training martial arts this serves also as your work out and lastly, you can get inspired also from different martial artist like Bruce lee and Jackie Chan.

#4 Benefit: Workouts That Keep You Engaged And #5 Benefit: Gain Positive Role Models
