Week 1 Clinical Tuesday July 7, 2021 Prof. Gail Williams 7:00 am- 7:00 pm When I came into the online class today, I was expecting to receive an orientation about the syllabus of the class, the objectives, the evaluation tools, and information about the iHuman case of the week. During the time in preconference professor explained us how the hours in the clinical sessions would be running. Professor took her time to explain us in detail the syllabus, the objectives of the class, the assignments that we needed to complete during the day. We were instructed by professor where to find each to topic and assignment on Blackboard and she was great at clarifying our doubts and questions regarding the clinical tasks. We were assigned to do the medical abbreviations, the key term and the drug lists used in OB, which were later exposed during post conference. We were not assigned an IHuman case for today’s clinical but with the assignments assigned we had the whole day covered and we did a lot of good work. I consider that today’s clinical session was a very nourishing session, I ‘ve got to learn about many new and usual procedures, definitions, stages and situations seen in the obstetrical setting, that I have could not imaging before. All my expectations of learning were met and even surpassed with all the explanations professor did about the findings and the work a nurse needs to do in the OB floor....
