Week 3 Cassandra Proctor There are a few answers to who governs business but the most direct answer to who governs business is simply the government. The government creates laws and regulations for businesses to follow, in order to maintain and protect employees’ rights, the environment and making sure that businesses are held accountable. Another answer to who governs business is the ones on the inside running the business and making the decisions to reach their goals. Those in charge like CEOs and other officers on the inside influence business decisions in order to achieve company success. Governments also regulate corporate governance in a variety of ways, as they are overlooking businesses to make sure they are following laws and regulations they created and enforcing them when businesses are not cooperating.
