Problem Statement While you have chosen the strategy and its implications on both demand side and supply side have been laid out, it is time to go deeper into the solutions and how the strategy will be implemented. Which consumer use cases should Flipkart prioritize? As discussed in the earlier problem statement, there are multiple “needs” of the customer that Flipkart can choose to tackle. Some of these may be non-shopping needs like Video, messaging etc and core shopping needs like every day shopping trips, travel , movie tickets and many more. We refer to these consumer needs as use-cases. Each of these consumer use cases can be solved via the strategy you have chosen. It can be via a “fully owned” route where Flipkart controls and solves for both the demand side and supply side of the use case or the “hybrid/ecosystem” route where Flipkart works with partners in the ecosystem to solve it.
