The first issue that is related to my potential degree or career is should we have a wealth tax? A wealth tax is a new tax that could affect the value of personal assets like bank deposits, real estate, insurance, pension plans, ownership of businesses, financial securities and personal trust funds. The overall point of a wealth tax is to allow more government funds and decrease income inequality. While some people believe that a wealth tax could help some people also believe this tax could do more harm than good. This issue relates to my potential career goal as a personal Financial adviser or my degree of accounting because with this potential career or degree I would constantly be working with people or businesses financial situations. The second issue that is related to my potential degree or career is should we raise the national minimum wage? National minimum wage is the dollar amount that people are paid for their work in the United Kingdom. Raising minimum wage could allow workers to have a wage that keeps up with the pace of the increasing economy. Some people argue that workers should be paid more while others fear that by raising the minimum wage the expenses of the economy would increase. This issue relates to my potential career goal as a personal Financial adviser or my degree of accounting because with this potential career or degree I could be budgeting or documenting these workers finances. After exploring the bigger picture of my first issue being “Should we have a wealth tax?”, I would have to argue that I think a wealth tax would be beneficial. I feel this issue would relate to the wealthy, middle class and low income audiences. I feel this topic would be relevant to different income levels because a wealth tax could affect every income level and hopefully equal out everyone's income levels. My second issue “Should we raise the national minimum wage?” For this topic, I think I would have to argue that we should raise the national minimum wage. I feel this topic would be relevant towards any currently working or employed worker because this

is the wage they shall receive for their work....
